Welcome to PhD Research Projects 2023, The Bartlett’s seventeenth annual interdisciplinary exhibition featuring the work of students from across the faculty who are developing or concluding their doctoral research.
The exhibition and accompanying publication present work by students undertaking the Architectural Design MPhil/PhD and Architectural and Urban History & Theory MPhil/PhD. This year, the exhibition also showcases projects from the Architectural Practice MPhil/PhD stream. In addition, the publication features contributions from students studying at The UCL Institute for Global Prosperity and The Bartlett Development Planning Unit.
Over 90 students are currently enrolled on The Bartlett School of Architecture’s doctoral programmes and the range of original and creative research subjects undertaken is broad. This diversity is reflected in the selection of projects on show, which address topics such as climate change, welfare policy and ecological architectural craft, among others.
The digital show is accompanied by a physical exhibition which will take place at our Bloomsbury campus between 21 February to 7 March.
